# FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Opening Ceremony

On Sunday 20 November history will be made in Qatar as football fans celebrate the start of the first FIFA World Cup™ in the Arab world. An Opening Ceremony like no other awaits at 5:30 PM Doha time (3:30 PM CET). Immediately after the Ceremony, the Qatar National Team make their tournament debut, facing Ecuador in the Opening Match at 7 PM Doha time (5 PM CET).

**Lucky ticketholder?** Arrive at Al Bayt Stadium early to be seated by 5 PM and enjoy the show in full. Gates open 4 hours before festivities begin.

**In Qatar for the celebrations?** You can watch live on mega-screens at the FIFA Fan Festival™. Entry is exclusively for **Hayya Card** holders and on a first come, first served basis.
