Last week, we announced Ether Guild, a community effort to fund initiatives supporting ETH. The reception has been huge and the appetite is clear! Here’s how you can join us and support our mission:MissionEther Guild is a new non-profit funding ETH initiatives and ethismoney.xyz is our first initiative.Today we measure: 📈 ETH exported 📈 ETH held 📉 ETH issuance and help people understand that ETH is money. But we're just getting started. Our mission is to educate the world about the value proposition of ETH & how it fits into the Ethereum economy, the largest, most credibly neutral, most widely adopted internet-native economy. Understanding ETH takes time and education. It's easy to forget how far down the rabbit hole goes:ETH is MoneyETH is money secured by cryptography instead of courts. Programmable, automated contracts using ETH as money are capable of making the strongest, most trust-less economic commitments in history. This property enables entirely new forms of human coordination. Unlike Bitcoin, ETH is money that can be lent, borrowed, traded, invested, spent, and held while earning interest without relying on any custodians or intermediaries... and that only scratches the surface. ETH is money that’s: 💻 open source 🧾 transparent 🌍 borderless 🤝 credibly neutral ✊ censorship-resistant ✅ permissionless ETH is money with: 📈 native yield 🪙 fee revenue 📉 minimum viable issuance 🔄 sustainable tokenomics ↕ deflationary forces 🏦 a spot ETF ETH is money with the most adoption for: 💵 stablecoins 💎 tokenization 🏠 real world assets 📈 DeFi and the most adoption from: 🌆 institutions 💻 developers ETH is money that pays for: 🪙 the highest assurance of tx inclusion 💻 the most reliable & immutable execution 🔒 the most economic security for L2s 📊 the most onchain liquidity access ETH is money used every day as a: ✅ Store of value ✅ Medium of exchange ✅ Unit of account Assuming you fell down this rabbit hole already, you know gathering all of this^ context and knowledge takes months, even years. It should be easier. Much easier. That brings us back to Ether Guild. Educating the value proposition of ETH takes time, effort, and funding: Today we open four donation tiers for those interested in supporting Ether Guild’s mission:In appreciation for your support, all donation tiers provide access to our working group Discord, with additional channel access for the top 2 tiers. The market... isn’t great right now. We know. But we can’t wait for another market cycle before deciding to support ETH. It’s time to build. If you’d rather donate your skills and time, let us know at info@etherguild.xyz. Initial funds will help retroactively cover legal and development expenses kickstarting the non-profit and ethismoney.xyz. Once covered, additional donations will go toward funding ETH initiatives including but not limited to ethismoney.xyz. We've got plans. As a non-profit applying for 501(c)(3) status, there are strict limits for large anonymous donations. For larger donations, reach out to donate@etherguild.xyz. Let's chat.
