# Cherries

Cherry blossoms sparkle

In the green leaves,

Cherry blossoms are a sight to behold

To the little children.

A little girl and a little boy

Jumping under the tree,

They stretch out their hands

And almost cry:

They would like to eat a cherry,

But they'd like to climb high,

Oh, they'd love to pick it,

But it's too far to reach!

“Oh, cherries, cherries,

Oh, red and ripe,

Why are you so high

Grown so high on the branches!”

“Oh, why are we so high

We're so high up on a branch

If only we had grown low,

Would we have made it to the top?”
