# announcing: $THX

hooray, my first public experiment!
===================================

so here’s what’s happening:

*   i’ve minted exactly 1,000 of [a new token](https://polygonscan.com/token/0x513a51c88bd7cd86a124d540903bfdb9ef875929).

* i’m currently collecting all my friends’ wallet addresses.

* any time i want to say “thanks” for something, i’m gonna give $THX too.

* when i run out of tokens, i’ll graph the distribution of $THX and probably have a fun little story to tell.

it is _quite literally_ a “token of appreciation.”

what? why?
==========

well, i’ve come up with three reasons so far:

1. i get to run an experiment in on-chain reputation and token distribution.

2. it’s an excuse to do some programming again.

3. it could be really fun to send tokens to my friends.

okay, and then what?
====================

oh, no no, i’m sorry, this isn’t a roadmap.

I just wanna play a little web3 mini-game and see where it goes. 😁

what if i don’t want to play?
=============================

then you don’t have to!

this is just for fun, so i’m making it entirely opt-in.

how?
====

there are only two ways to get onto the player’s list:

1. tell me your address (and i’ll send you 1 $THX to get started)

2. or fill out [this form](https://forms.gle/Ly3W7ro9xA5XQs847) (for up to 20 $THX if you answer all my questions!)

cool.
=====

isn’t it?

if you want more, i’m documenting the journey over at [thx.exp.cbxm.eth](https://mirror.xyz/thx.exp.cbxm.eth/).
