It was a time of global movement, personal growth, and deep community connections spanning Mexico, the United States, and back home in Colombia.Stellar <> BAF Retreat CDMXIt began in Mexico City at the Stellar Retreat, where our team competed in the hackathon and won the “Identidad sin Barreras” track with a solution focused on digital identity. This experience reinforced one of my core missions: to make new technologies accessible for broader audiences, opening doors to innovation, financial inclusion, and social progress. At the Ethereum NYC Research Funding Forum, I learned about critical regulatory discussions in the U.S., including the Genius Act and Clarity Act 2025. These conversations are shaping the future of Web3, and it was eye-opening to understand the complexity and nuance involved.Institutional Infrastructure Anchored on Ethereum's L2s - Krzysztof Urbanski (Head of Governance at L2BEAT)Next came ETHGlobal Pragma in New York, a one-day summit that featured some of the most inspiring speakers in the space. Among the many talks, several stood out: How to Build a Global Fintech App with Stablecoins by Itai Turbahn, Co-founder of Dynamic. Steven Goldfeder, Co-founder of Offchain Labs, on the scaling vision of Arbitrum.David Hoffman, Co-founder of Bankless TalkA Fireside Chat on DeFi’s Institutional Adoption with Sergey Nazarov, Co-founder of Chainlink. David Hoffman, Co-founder of Bankless, with 10 Objectively True Reasons ETH is Bullish. Ben Jones, Co-founder of Optimism, speaking about the Future of Optimism. Each session not only shared knowledge but also sparked ideas on how we can build responsibly and inclusively. Following Pragma, I joined the ETHGlobal Hackathon in New York. The energy in the room, the intensity of collaboration, and the incredible network of builders I met were unforgettable. Those days left me with valuable lessons, strong connections, and a renewed drive to keep building.EthGlobal colleaguesAfter New York, I returned to Mexico City for the Monad Hackathon, where I reconnected with the region’s developer ecosystem. One of the highlights was seeing the work of spaces like Frutero, a community that supports everyone, from those just entering Web3 to highly advanced developers. Their dedication to inclusion and growth is exactly what our industry needs.Keone Monad founderAcross all these events, one of the most important themes of my journey has been connecting with communities across Latin America and New York. Whether through DeFi Nights, Uniswap events, or grassroots coworking spaces like Frutero, I saw firsthand the power of collaboration. These connections reminded me that progress in Web3 is not just about technology, it’s about people coming together to share knowledge, inspire each other, and create impact.Greg Skril DevRel ENSThis quarter also carried deep personal meaning, as it marked the first official anniversary of Cartagena Onchain, an initiative I have been building for years. Reaching this milestone was a proud moment for our team, a reflection of the hard work and shared vision that continue to drive us.Warm-up Cartagena 2.0 – Road to DevconnectFinally, I returned to Colombia to continue our local work. We hosted Destino Devconnect, organized the Uniswap Caribbean Route, and collaborated with Avalanche on events that bring education, innovation, and opportunities to the city of Cartagena.UniTour: Cartagena - UTBThese activities are part of our commitment to making Cartagena a hub for blockchain adoption and community driven impact. Looking back, Q3 was about building bridges across countries, ecosystems, and communities. As I close out Q3, I’m filled with gratitude for the experiences, connections, and growth that shaped this chapter. This quarter was all about building bridges: between regions, ecosystems, and communities that believe in the onchain power. Now, I’m incredibly excited for what’s next: Argentina for Devconnect 2025, the largest Ethereum event of the year. It’s an incredible opportunity to connect with builders from around the world, share what we’ve been building in Latin America, and keep pushing for a more open, inclusive, and collaborative future in Web3.
