[Surah Yasin](https://faizeislam.net/quran/surah-yasin/) tells of the sufferings suffered by non-believers, their children, and future generations. This surah reiterates God’s sovereignty and the existence if Resurrection. It is classified as a Meccan Surah. Its main theme is to explain some basic beliefs of Islam, including the belief in life after death. ## Surah Yasin, the Heart of the Quran This hadith demonstrates how important Surah Yasin really is, as the heart is the most fundamental organ in the body. It covers the main topics of Quran, such as the existence of Allah (SWT), the story of some messengers, signs of His Oneness and Day of Judgment. ## Surah Yasin's Importance Surah Yasin, the 36th Surah in the Quran is Surah Yasin. It was revealed to Prophet Muhammad at Mecca. It contains 83 verses and 730 words. It is divided into five sections. Its name derives from two letters (Hurrof Al Muqattat), and Allah knows its true meaning. SubhanAllah! Allah is indeed the Knower of all things. ## Reading Surah Yasin has many benefits **Multiplied Reward**: Many scholars believe that the reward for reading Surah Yasin in its entirety once is equal to reading the Holy Quran ten or more times. Surah Yasin's importance is due to the greater reward Allah offers. **Forgiveness by Allah:** Those who recite Surah Yaseen while asleep with a pure heart will be granted forgiveness from Allah for all their sins. **Spiritual Guidance** Those who regularly recite this surah are guided by Allah in all matters. It removes fear and anxiety and gives you the strength to sail through difficult times. **Peaceful Death**: Recipients of Yaseen shareef are suggested as they help to peacefully pass on to the other side. ## Benefits of reading Surah Yaseen After Fajr The benefits of reading Surah Yasin are many. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), also mentioned some benefits. One of these times occurs after Fajr, or in the morning. ## Benefits of Reading Surah Yasin 7 Times: 41 Times Surah Yasin's Benefits: Ayahs from Qur'an, hadiths from the sunnah, or at least some of their sayings, must be approved in order to say that a particular Surah is helpful for a specific problem, reward, or both. As far as our research was concerned, we could not find any Ayahs or hadiths that approved the above. However, some Muslim scholars have stated that certain numbers can actually have an effect, but they are based on their or their Sheikhs' personal experiences and not on any text in the Shari'ah. ## How long does it take for Surah Yasin to be memorized? This Ayah explains that Allah (SWT) makes it easy for us to memorize any Surah in Quran. Surah Yaseen is one of the most simple Surahs in the Quran. It is short and easy to understand. It all depends on how motivated and willing to put in the effort. It can take between 5- 10 days to learn this Surah. Then comes the revision, which is crucial.
