# Update!

“I’m going to set myself the goal of writing here three times a week” Well. That didn’t happen. I would like to say that I’ve been busy and give some legitimate reasons for not sticking to this but there aren’t any. Pathetic. I’m currently sitting in the airport waiting for my flight to Monterrey, via an overnight layover in Chicago. I’m spending a semester at the Tecnologico de Monterrey, which is the highest-rated university in Central America. I’m staying with a host family and looking forward to it very much. Moving on to what I have been doing since the end of April 2022. I have been working on founding Edinburgh Napier’s Formula Student team. Formula Student is a competition in which students build a Formula 1 style car from scratch. Despite not being an engineer, I’m currently a big fan of F1 (Go McLaren!) and am generally interested in the motorsport industry so I’m using the skills I’m learning in my Business degree to try and get the team some more funding through sponsors. I’ve written our sponsorship prospectus and worked with a graphic designer to create a beautiful prospectus (Linked for those interested). https://issuu.com/fsteamnapier/docs/fstn_sponsorship_prospectus_22-23 Aside from that, I’ve been on a couple of holidays traveling to Italy, south of France and Spain, taking advantage of the incredibly cheap flights at the moment, all flights below £20 and most of them were only £10! Lovely time with friends and nice, hot weather which has been preparing me for my semester abroad in Mexico.
