# Moon to Heaven

More than 20 years ago, there were no street lights in the countryside. At night, I walked across the fields to get home, almost in the dark. In normal days, I groped my way home by the twilight of the sky. Occasionally there are stars, and the surrounding will be much brighter, and I feel that there is also the light of stars in my heart.

If there is a moon, the whole heart will settle down, and there will be no fear of the night at all. In southern Taiwan, especially on summer nights, the light of the moon is extraordinarily bright, making the entire mountain road stretch out clearly.

The moonlight in the countryside is indescribable. It is not like the projection of the sun. It comes from the outside. It will be mistaken to think that everything has its own light. If the night is foggy and the air is filled with fresh air, when the fireflies fly by in groups, they are like spirits shaken out by the moonlight.

Every thing under the moonlight is bright, it's so good!

Even better, under the moonlight, we also feel that we have the moon and light in our hearts. The light is not as warm as the sun, it is cool, and the coolness of the moon can be felt from the hair on the top of the head to the nails on the toes.

After walking for a while and looking up, the moon always follows us and shines upon us. In our childhood years, the moon in our minds had a kind life, as if someone held a lantern to guide us. We are on the road, the moon is on the road; we are on the top of the mountain, the moon is on the top of the mountain; we are by the river, and the moon is in the river; when we return home, the moon is right in front of the house.

Until now, I still remember the sight of my childhood when I looked at the moon, and the countryside under the moonlight. But there is a bit of myth about the moon following us. The moon will always follow us. Is it an illusion or a reality? It can be said that it is both an illusion and a reality. Since we know that there is only one moon, everyone thinks that the moon follows us, which is an illusion; but when the moon is with us, we feel that the moon is the only one and only shines for me, which is true.

When I grow up, I realize that the real truth is that there is a moon in everyone's heart. It is unique and bright. When the moon shines on us, it reflects the moonlight, making you feel that the moon in the sky is also the moon in the heart. . In this world, everyone has the moon buried in their hearts, but they don't know it. There are very few people who, in the darkest hour, still radiate the light of the moon, those who perceive themselves as the moon.

Song Dynasty Neo-Confucianist Shao Yong wrote "Qing Night Song":

​​

When the moon reaches the heart of the sky, when the wind comes to the surface of the water.

​​

Generally, the meaning of Qing is unknown.

The moon reaches the heart of the sky, the wind comes to the surface of the water, and the meaning of coolness and clarity can only be experienced by subtle emotions.
