Fam, OmniFlix is set to launch its FLIX token on StreamSwap, a protocol for time-based token swaps. The FLIX token will be available on the 20th of April, with the token launch process beginning a day earlier. StreamSwap’s contracts go live on Osmosis on 19th April (subject to governance) and the FLIX / OSMO stream (Yes! Here's a detailed explanation of each phase:Bootstrapping Phase:This phase starts on or before 6am UTC on 19th April and lasts for at least 36 hours.During this phase, subscribers can deposit or withdraw OSMO tokens, which are required to participate in the FLIX/OSMO Stream.The Bootstrapping Phase is important as it allows the community to subscribe and prepare for the Streaming Phase.No token swapping occurs during this phase, but the total OSMO deposited in the stream gives an average price of FLIX in OSMO.Subscribers receive shares for subscribing (depositing) with OSMO tokens and get shares deducted when withdrawing OSMO tokens.Streaming Phase:The Streaming Phase begins at 6pm UTC on 20th April and lasts for one hour.During this phase, the actual swapping of tokens happens, with FLIX tokens being exchanged for OSMO tokens.Token swaps occur linearly over the entire streaming duration, allowing for second-by-second swaps.Subscribers can deposit or withdraw OSMO tokens at any point during this phase, affecting the final price of FLIX tokens.If subscribers feel that the price is low, they can continue to add tokens, and if they feel that the price is high, they can withdraw tokens.At the end of the Streaming Phase, the final price of FLIX tokens is determined by the total OSMO received.Both the Bootstrapping Phase and the Streaming Phase are crucial for price discovery, as subscribers can deposit or withdraw OSMO tokens at any point, impacting the final price of FLIX tokens.
