Greetings Fellow Earthlings, Creators, Artists, Listeners and Curators
Welcome back to the Flooting Grooves Web3 Portal.
I would like to recap the concept of the Portal.
It has a two-fold function:
1) To drop new FG content in the form of new music, accompanied by visual art.
2) To explore together aspects of Web3 and why I decided to release music in this way.
For this Portal Entry I have decided to release a Live Mix of Flooting Grooves Downtempo, performed at Vibronica Festival 2021 in Ukraine. It explores the more relaxing chillout aspect of the FG sound, while keeping things appropriately groovy and psychedelic.
Stunning visual artwork the aptly named "Portal" by my friend and collaborator, the talented Gydravlik from Ukraine.
This piece is an Audio-Visual collaboration between music producer Flooting Grooves and visual artist Gydravlik.
AUDIO:
This is a live performance of Flooting Grooves Downtempo at Vibronica Festival 2021, held near Kiev in Ukraine.
Tools used:
Ableton Live 11 running from Macbook Pro.
Live elements:
Silver flute
Synth
FX
VISUAL ART:
This work was created with Stable Diffusion (Ai) tool and ETV8 model.
ETV8 is a model trained by Jeremy Torman and Eloh Projects to create perfect psychedelic art. One that, in the hands of a visionary artist, is a real high-tech digital psychedelic drug of a new generation. In addition I use XL models for upscale and realistic results.
I moved over from Mirror.xyz to Paragraph.xyz because of greater functionality like for example here one can comment directly as you can see below, which turns this into a two-way communication space as opposed to a purely "broadcasting" channel. I feel this is important for building community.
A friend of mine recently asked me the question "Why should I collect the piece if I can just go and read it on the website?" It is indeed a valid question and one that doesn't have a simple answer. We take for granted that websites are operational forever and nothing ever changes. However the reality in Web2 is that being heavily centralised things can change in the blink of an eye without users having any ability to comment or criticise. The immutable aspect of data on the blockchain gives us the opportunity to store data permanently. For example Paragraph.xyz may or may not exist in 20 years time, however if you collected my entries, you will have them forever in your wallet, much like having a copy of a magazine of your own on your shelf. Furthermore it also protects the data from censorship, which means no one can take it down, making it par excellence the greatest protective mechanism of free speech.
I hope you enjoy the artwork and don't forget to
