Welcome back to the Portal, where we explore new FG content in the form of Music and Visual Art in the context of Web 3.
I sometimes use tracktitles to mark a moment in time for myself. An example of such a track is “Across the Treshold” which marked the passing of my grandfather, who had a profound influence on me.
“Vitanova” and “Risen” (coming soon) are also such tracks.
Both mark the coming of my son, Phoenix, into this world. The knowledge of his coming had a profound effect on my psyche. Suddenly the “I” was becoming “We” and it is not easy to describe the feelings I experienced at that moment. All I know is I was suddenly deeply inspired, like there was a warm fuzzy smile forming itself inside my being…and this overflowed into my music creation, giving me the nudge to delve deeper into my creativity to find a new style. While it is still true to the vibe you know and love of FG: Trippy journey music accompanied by strong emotions, this new style brings a new element of harmonic progression which was previously absent. Abandoning the more modal approach, which gives a more “trancy” effect, the new style is introvert and more emotionally mature, moving to different chord progressions that give a more definite emotionally “conclusive” effect…yearning, yet haunting.

This work is the result of real-time experimentation and improvisation. It is a recording of a live performance with procedural audio reactive animation in Touch Designer in collaboration with artificial intelligence Stream Diffusion. Prompts were also born and changed in real time, inspired by magical music.
I would like to add that the reason to release music specifically with visual art (Audio/Visual Collab) is also because I believe that Audio and Visual form a complete human experience together and this becomes particularly relevant in the psychedelic space where you have the phenomenon of synesthesia which is where the senses can "crossover" i.e. one can "see" sounds or "hear" colours.
Having said that, I would like to point out the brilliance and pure talent of Gydravlik and how he so successfully conveys the psychedelic experience in his visionary art !!

The title Vita Nova comes from latin which means "new life". It is the celebration of the coming of my first born son, Phoenix. There are a couple of different moods which caracterise the piece, moving between and building on them. The first is the typical trippy, driving beat that builds up and establishes the psychedelic status quo.
