Interesting to reflect on how important block-chains tech really is in order to improve the creator economy. Ex: obvious how tokens are inherently tied to the blockchain, but not obvious if the content accessible through a token needs to be hosted decentralized or centralized.

**Web3: Substitute or complement to major DSPs**

Only a handful of creators globally are powerful enough to lift their fanbase away from the big distribution platforms. In the near to mid term creators will still rely on the big distributors to build and engage with their fan base. Distributors have a centralized content & data mgmt system that enables powerful search, discovery, and recommendations. To help creators grow their economy today, it is important to focus on helping creators build complements alongside the big distribution platforms.
