What is Funti3r? Funti3r is a learning DAO helping African women and youth find their way in web3 and NFTs based on 4 quests: Courses: smart people contribute time and talent to learn and work together Challenges: smart learners and teachers source and analyse web3 projects Experiences: allow members to explore, dream, and translate those visions into reality Collaborations: smart people collaborate to build and launch web3 projects of their own. We aim to tap into not only our education in the space but also our experience in order to create a community of people that are growing, learning, and building together in the crypto world. Ultimately, we want to: Equip women and youth with the necessary tools and skills for a career in blockchain. Equip participants to work on hands-on projects and build important critical thinking skills with real-world problems and solutions. Why we’re building a Learning DAO “People would love if the most fun thing they could do would also make them the most money.” Most of the decisions we make can be boiled down to fun and money. One of the key barriers to entry in the crypto economy is education. While there is a ton of information out there that is accessible to all, it does not always translate clearly to the audience. We believe that making learning fun is a thread that runs through digital-native communities. People are naturally curious; the goal is not to kill that curiosity, but to nurture it. Early adopters might be drawn to particular web3 projects because they’re a more fun way to make money than their job, or because they get to earn money by doing things that they find fun anyway. How we’re building our DAO Building financial literacy, education, and awareness at the level of communities and providing them tools to help empower themselves, namely: Educational courses and boot camps: Newsletter Podcast Research report/analysis Media content - news, insights, tools One of the more interesting aspects of Web3 is the way in which blockchain-based technology enables individuals to organize themselves in novel arrangements that potentially make problem-solving more creative, efficient, and communitarian. It's much easier to start a DAO than to sustain one. We believe that Funti3r will endure due to our focus, momentum, and values: Focus We’re focused on building financial literacy, education, and awareness at the level of communities and providing them tools to help empower themselves.
