We get asked regularly what our definition of a Future Scout is. We don’t believe its any one thing — its what all of us can envision it to be together. Over the years we’ve collected some descriptions of what a Future Scout is to our participants and our mentors for the program. Here are a few that we’ve compiled into a poem for all of you.A Future Scout is…a self-directed learner who blooms through learning, exploration and discovery.an engaged citizen who values the differences and similarities between people and nations.a person who promotes and protects life’s joys and emotions through gratitude and a zest for life.a person on a journey of learning, who engages in self-awareness and experimentation with life.an open-hearted and open-minded person who values the connections society builds through mutual caring and respect.a future leader who promotes cooperation, collaboration, and open communication.a person eager to be agile and adaptable, who welcomes the unpredictability of life.a confident, competent, resourceful and independent person who is confident in their ability to navigate uncertainty and the unknown.a person full of energy and enthusiasm for learning.Future Scouts areour future leaders,our greatest assets,our children.from, your Future Scout
