In the year 1848 he was elected to Frankfurt National Assembly , in which he belongs to the left ; Friedrich Wilhelm Schultz of Darmstadt Hesse --1797--1860 / political writer ; German officer and radical democratic publisher in Hesse . He was one of the authors of the Rotteck-Welcker State Lexicon in the first years of his exile in Zurich , Schulz dealt with economics , statistics and the political situation in Switzerland . His most works are The Death of Pastor Friedrich Ludwig Weidig ; Langgons of the northwest Wetterau ; Bettina von Arnim writes of Wetterau in her text Diary of a Child in the Chapter " Journey to the Wetterau" ----- the oldest cultural landscapes in Germany --- As well as Movement of Production , which Karl Marx quoted extensively in his 1844 Manuscripts . Schulz was the first to describe the movement of society " as flowing from the contradiction between the forces of production and the mode of production " , which would later from the basis of historical materialism .
