It's going to be a long year.21/365: PUCKERA pucker in the fabric of time opens a door into my childhood.Tuesday's prompt, PUCKER, coincided with a vivid dream I had. In the dream, our present-day cats found their way through a magical door into my childhood home and I had to go into the past to bring them back. We can visit the past in memories, or in dreams, but also by adapting events into works of poetry, art, or story. This dream, as a poem, can now be revisited in the future and released into the world for others to explore, even if they aren't magical cats. If you do go exploring in this poem, try not to get lost. "Door Into Childhood" - Mythoversal/Niji 622/365: LACEAs I ran from the Bad Luck Beast my shoelace came untied. What are the odds?Wednesday's prompt was LACE. Are your shoes untied by an invisible monster or by the application of the general laws of statistics that govern the universe? It hardly matters, as long as it's not your own fault for skipping the double-knot..."Laces" - Mythoversal/Niji 623/365: FAWNThe fawn in the meadow tilts her head as the north wind rustles the grass. Message received, she sets her teeth to shred the evidence.Thursday's prompt was FAWN, a baby deer. Message received?"Fawn Looking North" - Mythoversal/Niji 624/365: GALUMPHThe wealthiest backer of American fascism galumphed onto the stage and showed us who he was.Friday's prompt was GALUMPH, another nonsense word invented by Lewis Carroll in his poem, "The Jabberwock." According to Carroll, it was a portmanteau of "gallop" and "triumph." It adds a bit of silliness to analysis of a silly thing that a silly person did in full view of the cameras, and the many benefits of many doubts granted by media outlets, civil rights organizations, and other apologists. But is this really the kind of thing we should ever downplay?"American Fascism" - Mythoversal/Niji 625/365: UNCTUOUSShe’s a real creampuff, purrs like a kitten, only ever driven on Sundays to church and around the block for endless hours of talk radio. Pulls to the right? Sure, these days, what doesn’t?Saturday's prompt was UNCTUOUS, slimy, like the stereotypical used car salesman or radio talk show host. A warning to be careful that your media diet doesn't manifest as a mechanical defect."Just Drive" - Mythoversal/Niji 6 ## Publication Information - [Author GRF Newsletter](https://paragraph.com/@gfishbone/): Publication homepage - [All Posts](https://paragraph.com/@gfishbone/): More posts from this publication - [RSS Feed](https://api.paragraph.com/blogs/rss/@gfishbone): Subscribe to updates - [Farcaster](https://farcaster.xyz/cryptoversal): Follow on Farcaster ## Optional - [Collect as NFT](https://paragraph.com/@gfishbone/more-tomorrow-21-25): Support the author by collecting this post - [View Collectors](https://paragraph.com/@gfishbone/more-tomorrow-21-25/collectors): See who has collected this post
