We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Glacier Network has been accepted into the Accelerator Cohort of Foresight X, the accelerator arm of Foresight Ventures. Before announcing the completion of the Second Accelerator Cohort Selection, Glacier Network had successfully advanced through a long and rigorous screening process, finally emerging as one of the selected candidates from a pool of 400 participants.🧊 Glacier Network IntroductionGlacier Network is building a composable, modular and scalable L2 data network for large-scale Dapps, with the mission to empower decentralized apps (DApp) to build on decentralized databases (DDB). It provides programmable data composability powered by L2 rollup solutions to seamlessly and effortlessly handle datasets with NoSQL GlacierDB on top of Arweave, Filecoin, BNB Greenfield, and more. Decentralized Databases (DDB) is the critical component missing from the Web3 stack. As it stands, most Dapps still rely on centralized cloud services, which pose risks including a lack of individual data ownership, and also go against the core principles of Web3. Although data can be stored in decentralized storage platforms, they are not ideal for efficiently retrieving data with frequent updates. A notable challenge lies in the absence of robust decentralized database tools in Web3. Glacier provides a programmable data composability layer for trustless data primitives, building resilience, immutability, interoperability, and the highest levels of data privacy and security in Web3.
