Thank you @matthewfox and @arek for popping by to help us learn more about Clankermon! (And the Clankermon survived the dungeon with your tips!) From our ChatGPT Intern: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey’s engagement broke the internet and the polymarket, while Farcaster folks argued whether being “happy in love” is actually a fantasy football stat booster. Meanwhile, the Clankermon team charmed everyone with their Irish accents while casually admitting they’ve buried more digital pets than a Tamagotchi graveyard. The conversation spirals into jokes about crypto hats, shopping with spouses, and how many black hats one person really needs before demanding a bit more color variety in the merch scene. ### 💍 Celebrity News Meets Polymarket Before diving into Farcaster news, the hosts detour into pop culture: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement announcement. They joke about missing a chance at generational wealth by not betting on the news through Polymarket, and debate whether being “happy in love” is actually a performance booster in fantasy football. The discussion ties back to how prediction markets can be an onchain gateway for the mainstream—even if Americans technically aren’t allowed to use Polymarket. ### 📊 Farcaster Updates & Leaderboard Tips Switching gears, they cover the latest Farcaster rewards leaderboard, with @m00npapi, @bertwurst, and @patriciaxlee taking the top spots. The hosts joke about strategies like “casting every thought that comes to mind” and laugh over the eternal battle for the #69 ranking spot. They also shout out newcomers who cracked the leaderboard for the first time, with playful side chatter about usernames, in-jokes, and the culture that keeps the community lively. ### 🌗 Product Updates & Dark Mode Wars The team highlights updates from Varun and Blockheim, including new color schemes, feed tweaks, and app-based storage for easier onboarding. A debate breaks out over dark mode vs. light mode—Prof admitting she’s a light-mode loyalist despite how it “blinds some people.” They poke fun at Farcaster’s design team for “doubling” the number of designers, which they joke is either a 50%, 100% or 1500% increase, depending on how you do the math. ### 🐲 Clankermon Spotlight Finally, the Clankermon team—MatthewFox and Arek—join the show with their Irish accents and updates on the project. The hosts admit that raising digital Clankermons feels a little too much like raising kids, especially when mons keep “dying” if you forget to train them. Listeners hear stories of accidentally burying digital pets, buying new ones, and the challenge of keeping them alive long-term. The mix of Irish banter, crypto-meets-Tamagotchi nostalgia, and community engagement makes the Clankermon segment the highlight of the episode. ### 📎 Show Notes & Links – Casts & Stuff We Talked About 🐲 **Clankermon Links** [https://farcaster.xyz/~/channel/clankermon](https://farcaster.xyz/~/channel/clankermon)[ https://farcaster.xyz/nounishprof/0xea2e6449](https://farcaster.xyz/nounishprof/0xea2e6449) 💍 **Your Gym Teacher + English Teacher Are Getting Married** [https://farcaster.xyz/ted/0xa84a2bb0](https://farcaster.xyz/ted/0xa84a2bb0)[ https://farcaster.xyz/aneri.base.eth/0x13350c67](https://farcaster.xyz/aneri.base.eth/0x13350c67) 📊 **Rewards Leaderboard** [https://farcaster.xyz/bradq/0x7bf91e01](https://farcaster.xyz/bradq/0x7bf91e01) 🛠 **FC Team Priorities This Week** [https://farcaster.xyz/v/0x5c20a61d](https://farcaster.xyz/v/0x5c20a61d) 🌗 **The Dark Side (Dark Mode Update)** [https://farcaster.xyz/blockheim/0xcf1714df](https://farcaster.xyz/blockheim/0xcf1714df) 👋 **Welcome @bigolal** [https://farcaster.xyz/v/0xd276f03a](https://farcaster.xyz/v/0xd276f03a)[ https://farcaster.xyz/bigolal/0x493a210b](https://farcaster.xyz/bigolal/0x493a210b) 🙏 **FC Gratitude Post** [https://farcaster.xyz/androidsixteen.eth/0xd6edbb9d](https://farcaster.xyz/androidsixteen.eth/0xd6edbb9d) 🦊 **MetaMask but Make It Simple** [https://farcaster.xyz/metamask/0xf2bebede](https://farcaster.xyz/metamask/0xf2bebede) 💡 **Thanks for the Mini App Suggestions** [https://farcaster.xyz/nounishprof/0xbcc6f580](https://farcaster.xyz/nounishprof/0xbcc6f580) 🔥 **Kenny, You Rock!** [https://farcaster.xyz/kenny/0x999ca6e3](https://farcaster.xyz/kenny/0x999ca6e3) 🌍 **Devconnect** [https://farcaster.xyz/devcon/0x8a699ab2](https://farcaster.xyz/devcon/0x8a699ab2) 🎟 **Free Tix for Aptos Experience** [https://farcaster.xyz/jacy/0x2fbf62ac](https://farcaster.xyz/jacy/0x2fbf62ac) 🌴 **$outofoffice** [https://farcaster.xyz/aneri.base.eth/0x83b48f08](https://farcaster.xyz/aneri.base.eth/0x83b48f08) 🎨 **Zora Hidden Tokens** [https://farcaster.xyz/nounishprof/0x6b6e9838](https://farcaster.xyz/nounishprof/0x6b6e9838)[ https://x.com/crystaltaixyz/status/1959628118810890509](https://farcahttps://x.com/crystaltaixyz/status/1959628118810890509) 📺 **Episode Recaps** [https://farcaster.xyz/gmfarcaster/0x520a6548](https://farcaster.xyz/gmfarcaster/0x520a6548) 👾 **allota labubu** [https://farcaster.xyz/matthewb/0x45e1030d](https://farcaster.xyz/matthewb/0x45e1030d)[ https://farcaster.xyz/ted/0xd62f41d9](https://farchttps://farcaster.xyz/ted/0xd62f41d9) * * * **And our musings elsewhere:**  ------------------------------- **Learn more about sponsoring GM Farcaster:** **Media Kit:** [https://mediakit.gmfarcaster.com/](https://mediakit.gmfarcaster.com/) **Adrienne: Some of the Things: Some of the things:** [https://someofthethings.substack.com/p/back-to-mongolia-ai-bot-update-parenting](https://someofthethings.substack.com/p/back-to-mongolia-ai-bot-update-parenting) **Nounish Prof: Unpacking with Prof:**  [https://paragraph.xyz/@nounishprof](https://paragraph.xyz/@nounishprof) AND [www.gmfarcaster.com](http://www.gmfarcaster.com) **is live along with a new GM Farcaster FAQ:** [https://paragraph.xyz/@adrienne/gm-farcaster-faq](https://paragraph.xyz/@adrienne/gm-farcaster-faq) **AND GM Farcaster is now available everywhere you get your podcasts including** [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@GMFarcaster)**,** [Apple podcasts](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/gm-farcaster-21-minutes-of-farcaster-news/id1715962926) **and** [Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/show/0mskFuV0hSlE21Tn3M9kjo)**!** **Copyright 2025 cc-by GM Farcaster - reuse/remix allowed with attribution and link back to** [**GMFarcaster.com**](http://GMFarcaster.com)**.** **NOTE:** Cryptocurrencies are often volatile assets.
