### Leading the Future of Web3 Access Management

We are thrilled to announce a strategic partnership between Blockdaemon and Narval, combining our strengths to enhance web3 access management. This collaboration brings together Narval’s advanced policy engine and Blockdaemon’s secure MPC technology, offering a groundbreaking solution for managing access in decentralized environments.

### Context

Narval is an open-source web3 access management system, featuring:

* **Powerful Policy Engine:** Decoupled from any single key manager or wallet provider, following authorization best-practice, allowing to model any authorization scenario.

* **Modular Design:** Fits into any cloud or on-premise environment and interoperable with various key and wallet technologies, providing a unified authorization service.

* **Next-Gen Access Delegation:** For communication and granting access between parties and systems.

* **Aggregated Audit Trail:** Provides visibility into who has access and what access they have, and incident response capabilities.

### Problem

The challenge in a decoupled authorization system is trust. Most providers avoid this by tightly-coupling access management into keys, leading to fragmented implementations & lack of unified control across systems for builders:

* **Multi-Custodied Asset Managers:** Scaling operations is impossible without a custom policy layer, as teams, assets under management, and system providers grow.

* **Financial Institutions:** Building homegrown key management infrastructure often requires in-house solutions that are too tightly coupled and require expensive maintenance.

* **Developers**: Combining various fragmented authorization systems for wallet operations, custom automation workflows, or their application, is cumbersome and lacks interoperability.

### Solution

Narval has partnered with Blockdaemon to leverage their top-tier MPC technology for attestations in our policy engine, in one of our deployment models. This integration ensures Narval meets the highest standards and most stringent environments with institutional-grade security. By deploying as an MPC cluster, our system performs threshold signing, eliminating single point of trust, with flexible evaluation request co-signing capabilities. This is the only policy engine with cryptographic security from the end-user to the decision enforcement point.

Konstantin Richter, CEO of Blockdaemon:

> “_We are truly excited to partner with Narval. They have a great team and an innovative approach to web3 access controls and security. Builder Vault is a perfect complement to help maximize their security and ease of use._”

### Vision

We are excited about this integration, which aligns with our vision of a modular wallet stack combining best-of-breed solutions at every layer. We aim to empower developers to build superior custom stacks with institutional-grade security, free from vendor lock-in. We look forward to future partnerships and innovations, continuing our mission to enhance security and flexibility in web3 access management.

### About Narval
