### But what is spiritual?

### In reality, it is a creative force that flows from the spiritual world and thus materializes - embodied in a visible and tangible form. Spiritual is whatever is most internal and at the same time most pervasive and is consequently automatic and conditioned.

Take any fruit for example; what is its innermost part? Nothing but spiritual power in the bud. What, then, is the fruit itself, which, with all its constituent parts, covers and sustains this innermost germ? In essence, it is nothing but an external organ imbued with the power of the germ, which in all its parts has a beneficial relationship with the existing sprout. That the exterior of the fruit is an organ conditioned by the spiritual power of the germ follows from the fact that from the spiritual germ comes not only the fruit, but the whole tree or the whole plant. So what is spiritual? It is spiritual as the first innermost power in the germ with which it is conditioned whole tree, including roots, trunk, branches, leaves, flowers and fruits. And again it is the spiritual that penetrates into all these named parts of the tree, as for itself or for its own welfare.

The spiritual is therefore the most internal, penetrating and thus all-encompassing. For that which penetrates is also that which encompasses the whole.
