**Kakarot** is a project that aims to unite the **Ethereum** and **StarkNet** ecosystems using the Cairo language. Using the power of Cairo and a clearly defined EVM architecture, Kakarot provides developers with a familiar and reliable environment for creating dApps.

💰 Early investors in the project include **StarkWare**, **StarkNet**, a co-owner of Ledger, as well as Vitalik Buterin. The amount of investment at this point is unknown, but this is only a Pre-Seed round.

In the comments, the project also congratulates Alex Glukhovsky, who is the CEO of **zkSync**.

👉 One of the key tasks that the developers of Kakarot highlight is achieving full compatibility with Starknet's own protocols and ensuring interoperability between different protocols. Future integration and cooperation between the Kakarot and Starknet protocols promise a dynamic and interconnected blockchain ecosystem.

✅ **Kakarot** **roadmap**:

Phase 1 — **Kakarot** will be integrated into **Starknet L2 a**s an **EVM** built into the platform. Phase 2 — introduces the concept of **L3** **zkEVM**, where Kakarot and Madara (a full Starknet node) combine to handle higher levels of **zkEVM** and transaction computations.
