Metamask is a web browser extension that allows users to interact with the Ethereum network. It was originally released in November 2016, and is owned by blockchain technology company, ConsenSys. Metamask is powered by the Ethereum platform, and allows users to easily access decentralized applications (DApps) and internal tokens.v
