THE COLLECTION
What is Heads of State?
10,000 pixel characters on a 64×64 canvas, each standing in front of the flag of the country they represent. 142 countries are in the set. The name means two things at once, and both are the point.
What does "drawn to scale" mean?
Every character's height is a straight linear function of the figure published for its country. No normalising, no floor, no artistic fudging. One pixel equals 0.154 inches. Sudan is the tallest at 7.07 inches and stands 46 pixels. Thailand is the shortest at 3.71 inches and stands 24 pixels. A country with twice the figure is drawn exactly twice as tall. Put two side by side and the difference between them is the real difference.
So the whole collection is a chart?
Yes. It's a world survey rendered as 10,000 cartoons.
Are the numbers real?
They're the published figures. Whether anyone should have published them is a separate question, and not one this collection is qualified to answer.
Is every country equally common?
No. Supply is weighted by population, but by the cube root of it. India tops out at 290 tokens, the smallest countries sit at 25. Raw population weighting would have given India and China a third of the collection between them and rounded five small countries to zero, which puts holes in a set whose whole premise is a world survey. Every one of the 142 is present and collectible.

What are the 142?
There is one head of state per country in reality, so the collection makes that literally true. 142 tokens out of 10,000 - 1.42%. Everyone else is a citizen. They wear a sash of office in their own country's flag colours, and they carry their country's real title.
What titles are there?
105 Presidents. 22 Kings. 3 Supreme Leaders. 2 Emirs, 2 Council Chairmen. And eight offices that exist exactly once:

Japan's Emperor is the only Emperor on Earth. There is one in the collection.Why so few?
Because a sash on 15% of tokens would mean nothing. The rarity is the point, and it's the true rarity: one per country, exactly as in life.

What's Glass?
Not a colour - an actual translucent body. The flag behind shows through the character. Sweden's cross runs straight through the torso; Japan's disc sits in the chest. 142 exist, and it's the most distinctive thing in the collection without being the rarest.
What are the special backgrounds?
Main Stage (125) - a club interior: neon rig, spotlight wash, chrome pole, lit stage floor.
Press Conference (105) - step-and-repeat backdrop in the country's colours, camera flashes, a lectern with the national seal. The podium is a fixed height, so a 24px Thailand barely clears it while a 46px Sudan looms over it.
Selfie (65) - the token as a photo on a phone: bezel, status bar, punch-hole camera, framing brackets, shutter.
HOW IT WAS MADE
Is any of this hand-drawn?
No. Every flag, character, scene, sash and scarf is generated procedurally in code. All 142 flags are drawn from a compact spec - bands, crosses, discs, stars, crescents, suns — with no image assets anywhere in the pipeline.
Can the collection be verified?
Yes. The whole thing reproduces byte-for-byte from a single seed. Every
image and every metadata file regenerates identically, which has been tested by
building it twice from scratch and comparing all 20,000 files.
The provenance hash - a SHA-256 over every token's image hash in order - is published before reveal. Anyone can verify nothing was swapped.
How do you know the traits are right?
Because they're checked, not assumed. Every country-dependent value - flag, height, tier, rank, office - derives from a single country code, and an audit re-reads all 10,000 tokens against the source data, compares the flag pixels in the finished images, and confirms every artwork is unique.
