**Object of the Game**
----------------------

In the current version of House of Cardians, your single card has to be higher than the other player's card.

In the 3 and 5 card versions, you need to have a majority of your cards need to be higher than your opponents'.

* 3 Card game: 2 or more of our your cards are higher than your opponent.

* 5 Card game: 3 or more of your cards than your opponent.

There are also some extra rules around Jokers and As that make them fun to play.

Let's look at what that means Step by Step.

**Step-by-Step Walkthrough**

3. Select 3 or 5 cards based on which game you selected with a sum total between 14-25. Note: A is 1 and a Joker counts as 0. You can only use one Joker per game.

2. Play 3 or 5 cards based on which game you selected with a sum total of less than what the Game Creator set.

    1. For example, if the sum of the game creator's cards was 20, you need to play cards that equal a sum of 20 or less.

3. Lock your cards in the same way you would for a single card game and the battle is set.

**Results**
-----------

As mentioned previously, the goal is for either your 2 best cards (3 card game) or 3 best cards (5 card game) to be higher than the opponents' with some exceptions. See the conventional game and exceptional cases below.

### Type 1: Conventional Game

Your 2 or 3 best cards are higher than the opponent.

Maker wins will three higher cards vs. the Challenger's 2.

### **Type 2: Joker gets the Win**

This is the same as a conventional game. As your opponent did not play an Ace, the Joker is the strongest card and beats the opponents king. The majority of your cards are better than your opponent so you win!

Maker wins will three higher cards, including the Joker.

### Type 3: Joker Killing

You played a Joker but your opponent played an Ace. This means that you automatically lose! We call this a Joker Killing and will meme you to our hearts' content!
