# $ETH: short or long? **Published by:** [Nataliiiiii](https://paragraph.com/@iamcryptogirl/) **Published on:** 2025-03-03 **URL:** https://paragraph.com/@iamcryptogirl/eth-short-or-long ## Content Hey everyone! Let’s try to figure out what’s happening with the price of $ETH in this crazy market from a technical analysis perspective today. A BIG REMINDER: Everything written below is purely theoretical and not a strategy to act on. As always — NFA, DYOR! Okay, starting my analysis, I head to TradingView to check out the metrics for $ETH:Daily SummaryLet’s dive into the details and interpret the parameters:1. OscillatorsMost oscillators point to neutral or bearish (sell) sentiment:RSI (34.0): A value below 30 usually indicates oversold conditions, but the system labels it as neutral. This suggests ETH is in a zone where selling pressure might ease, but there’s no clear buy signal.Stochastic %K (27.0): Close to the oversold zone (below 20) but still marked as neutral.CCI (-119.7): Far below -100 — extremely oversold, but the system labels it as neutral (possibly due to other factors).MACD (-168.6) and Momentum (-532.8): Both in negative territory, signaling a bearish trend.Awesome Oscillator (-407.7): Negative value — seller dominance. Conclusion for oscillators: The market is oversold, but bearish signals dominate. A short-term correction is possible, but the overall trend remains downward.2. Moving AveragesAll moving averages (from EMA 10 to SMA 200) signal sell:Current ETH price is below all key moving averages (10, 20, 50, 100, 200 days).Example: EMA 10 = 2,394.4, and the current price (presumably) is below this level.Ichimoku Base Line: Neutral signal — price is near the baseline, but other lines (e.g., Senkou Span) may hint at a downtrend. Conclusion: Strong bearish trend across all timeframes.3. Pivot PointsPivot levels help identify key support/resistance zones:Current price is below the central Pivot level (2,547.1), confirming bearish sentiment.Nearest support (S1): 1,762.7 — if this level breaks, ETH could test 1,289.6 (S2) or even 32.1 (S3) in extreme scenarios.Nearest resistance (R1): 3,020.2 — a trend reversal would require breaking this level. Conclusion: Current momentum is downward, with risks of further decline. Conclusion:Dominant trend: Strongly bearish. All moving averages and most indicators point to seller dominance.Oversold conditions: Some oscillators (RSI, Stochastic, CCI) show ETH is oversold, but this doesn’t guarantee a reversal — the trend may continue.Key levels:Resistance: 2,547.1 (Pivot) → 3,020.2 (R1).Support: 1,762.7 (S1) → 1,289.6 (S2).What Should Traders Do?For sellers (Short):The trend is clearly downward. Consider short positions on pullbacks to resistance (e.g., 2,547.1).Stop-loss: Above 2,547.1 or 3,020.2.For buyers (Long):No clear buy signals yet. Wait for a breakout above 2,547.1 with volume confirmation. If the price starts rising, watch the 3,020.2 level — breaking it could strengthen bullish momentum.Risk management:Use stop-losses! For short positions, set them above 2,547.1.Don’t ignore oversold conditions — sharp bounces are possible, but they may not reverse the trend.Reminder: None of this is financial advice! Always do your own research before buying or selling any token.
