Today there is good news in the Vooi community, the Ostium testnet is now with us!

**What is Ostium?**

It is a decentralized platform for trading **perpetual contracts (perps)** on real-world assets (RWA) like commodities (oil, gold), indices (S&P 500, Nasdaq), and forex pairs (EUR/USD), built on **Arbitrum** (Ethereum L2).

Hmmm commodities on blockchain…sounds interesting.

### **How to Use the Ostium Testnet?**

1.  **Connect Your Wallet**
    
    *   Go to [**Ostium Testnet**](https://ostium.vooi.io/) and connect **your wallet** (Arbitrum network).
        
    *   Get test **USDC** from a faucet.
        
2.  **Trading on Vooi (Partner Interface)**
    
    *   Vooi is the frontend for Ostium’s trading engine.
        
    *   Select an asset (e.g., **Gold/XAU** or **S&P 500**), set leverage, and choose direction (Long/Short).
        
    *   Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
        
3.  **Test Trading Strategies**
    
    *   Use **limit orders** and **partial position closing** (available in Ostium V2).
