I’ll have a go…. But I will probably fall short… in having a go… at succeeding… in explaining…. The hijacking.
Of the gay movement.
I read an advert for a forthcoming drama on channel 4 called ‘Tip Toe’, the text suggested that ‘we’ as the lgbt community have been more and more open and now we are ‘out there’ – we are more of a target than ever.
Well, yes, maybe, perhaps.
But we never talk about the agenda do we?
And when those few of us do talk about the agenda, we are called right wing loonies, conspiracy theory nutters, or, just: nutters.
Well, hear me out (or not, you’re free to do whatever you want) – once upon a time the gay rights movement included me.
A twenty something gay man who marched the streets of London fighting for my (and yours if you are gay and younger than me) equal rights to love and have sex under those same rights my heterosexual brothers and sisters had.
We succeeded.
We succeeded in, interestingly: ‘Tip Toes’.
It took a long time, but we achieved equal age of consent and equal marriage (in the UK). Eventually.
As I get older and my sexuality changes and morphs, I think I see things differently from my gay brothers and sisters. I see and hear the snide comments ‘oh you’re on the bi bus now are you’ ‘oh make you’re mind up’ and so on.
That’s one agenda. Take note please friend.
Then I go to the drag shows and I see the drag queen at Pride saying, ‘oh god I can’t believe I am not allowed to swear!’ and looking clearly supressed, oppressed (ironic really) and doing their drag, not quite as well and punchy as, well, if they were allowed to swear.
They can’t swear because there are (now) children present.
At Fucking Gay pride.
That’s another agenda. Take note please, friend.
Then there is THAT agenda.
That agenda that, yes, is driven by darklings, demons and P-words – who have nothing to do with the gay community.
But they have infiltrated.
This is where I leave you.
I leave you, because if I continue, 99.9% of you will call me:
A right-wing loon
A conspiracy nutter
Just a nutter.
And I haven’t even mentioned THAT OTHER agenda (you know the one right?)
But hope is not lost.
When you go down that rabbit hole:
And you do it with your heart, and your head:
You will then uncover the truth (It’s dark, prepare).
When you see that ‘the rejection of the gay community’ isn’t actually – the rejection of all the community:
It’s a rejection of the agenda.
Then… then: is when we all come back together: again.
This will end the agenda.
It’s ugly.
But it must be seen: equally.
The ‘side’ that think all the community are the agenda: needs to wake up and find balance.
The ‘side’ that thinks all the community are fluffy and beyond reproach: needs to wake up and find balance.
That’s it.
