She walks with cheerful steps along,

The path that leads to school.

She cares not for the gaudy throng,

Her mind is serenene and cool.

She loves to learn and share her lore,

With friends and schoolmates dear.

She has a gentle, generous heart

That feels for others' tears

She finds delight in books and art

And nature's varied charms

She heeds the voice of conscience smart

And shuns the wrongdoer's harms

Content with what she has, her own,

Vain seeking she'll despise.

She shines as gem on hill alone,

And cheers the lonely eyes.
