Hello there! Kaloh here with another Indexy update. This is a big one for us. We’ve been building toward it for months and we’re finally ready to share it with you: Indexy Contests are live. We built this to build on Indexy’s social side, leaning into competition between quants and bringing a layer of fun into what can often be a very analytical space.What are Indexy Contests?Contests give you a new way to flex your crypto brain. You build an index, compete in skill-based tournaments, and climb the leaderboard in real time. Winners earn rewards in $i. Think of them as fantasy tournaments for crypto indices.You join contests on indexy.xyz or our Farcaster mini app.You create an index using your own strategy of assets and weights.You follow your performance live against other quants.The best performers walk away with rewards in $i.The index builder let's you pick your favorite assets to build your index strategy. You must choose 3 coins and a maximum of 10. The weights should add 100%, with a minimum of 1% per coin.Contests aren’t about luck. They’re about research, conviction, and execution. Some formats will push you even further by adding constraints, like limiting which chains are eligible, how many tokens you can include, or applying thresholds based on market cap, FDV, or asset age.In your individual index view, you can see the performance of your index. Indexy uses BPS to calculate the performance, which starts at 100 BPS per each index. +1% in performance translates to +1 in the BPS score.Closed Beta RecapFor the past two weeks we’ve been quietly running contests in Closed Beta. Access has gone out in waves to our most active users, and every day a new contest has been running. Some are free to join, others have a ticket price (you can pay with $i or USDC). The entry fees don’t just increase the prize pool — they also put some real skin in the game, making every pick matter a little more. In just this short period, we’ve already given out thousands of dollars in $i rewards, while seeing over 1000 indexes. These strategies will soon compliment our analytic tools like mindshare, popularity and trending tokens to keep finding signal from top performers.The leaderboards updates constantly, so you can track the performance of your index, see who you are competing against and their strategies.If you’ve been active on Indexy or created an account recently, there’s a good chance you already have access.
