It’s time for the new class of artists to shine. This week saw sold-out drops from a wide variety of web3 artists - further cementing the developing pocket of up-and-coming acts. We saw major labels making major moves as Warner announced a partnership with OpenSea. While everyone loves to guess how Kanye or Drake might one day release NFTs, there’s a very real culture developing acts minting every day. It’s gotten to the point where it’s basically all I think about - how do we empower the next generation of web3 artists? Coop 💿 @Cooopahtroopa Web3 artists are up next. It’s about developing the culture and mentality about releasing new music with the world. Unlearning that you don’t need to wait 6 weeks in between releases. That you don’t need to submit for editorial review 3 weeks in advance. That you don’t need a marketing strategy, a music video or a TikTok campaign. To me - Music NFTs represent freedom of creativity and curation. It’s here to support artists and their creations - however niche they may be. It’s here to give curators and journalists a purpose, and a way to earn a living by collecting the music that will shape the next wave.
