Letting go, living past, Releasing the demons behind us, Creating the path in each step forward, Becoming who we’re meant to be. Releasing all that negativity, Choosing the brightness ahead, Even if it’s filled with a little dread. Leaving not what is behind, Other than the unserving kind, Choosing to live in the now, Even if your soul is bound. Forgiving ourselves for the pain Of what was once a game, Choosing to hug our inner child, Loving it always in any style, Spreading light within the untamed and wild. Transmuting light from that pain, Knowing it’s from whence we came. We can look back with kinder eyes, Since that’s the only way we will survive. stream of consciousness January 17th 2025 by jacque
