It is said that Qin Shi Huang used his absolute power to seek the elixir of immortality. This may seem silly to posterity, but I don't think so. In a capitalist world, it is difficult to raise scholars who cannot earn money quickly. Therefore, areas like medicine require huge investments that do not expect a return. Rich people, you can't take your money to hell, can you? At least Qin Shi Huang understood that.
