# AAVE is eating everyone! By [Juampi](https://paragraph.com/@jampol-2) ยท 2022-12-07 --- Many people don't realize the work that the company has been doing for years, and how, from being a lending DeFi protocol, they became one of the biggest **Web3 monsters.** As of today, [AAVE](https://aave.com/) has become the DeFi protocol with the highest TVL in all the Blockchains that it's available. This is a huge achievement! The protocol has a vision beyond the spectrum. They don't want to seek to be the best, they want to **revolutionize the world**, both financially and socially. This is more than clear with actions such as the development of its own stablecoin, **$GHO**, which proposes a new option for the DeFi user and a tempting tool for the AAVE user, thanks to the interoperability and benefits it will have with the protocol and your financial options. Their biggest move, however, was their most innovative product, [Lens Protocol](https://www.lens.xyz/). A decentralized social graph protocol that aims to end the monopoly and absolute control of the companies behind the most popular social networks. They took a huge step, from wanting to offer financial services to create their own ecosystem of social networks. AAVE aims to offer a new form of interaction between humans, a freer, more fluid one, where we don't need to ask permission. All this go to the next level, in my opinion, when they announced the acquisition of [SONAR](https://twitter.com/sonar?s=21&t=iFnTT_6tXD4r1idYzTV4wA), a mobile Metaverse platform where users can interact with each other. ### Why do I think this is such an important move? The **Metaverse**, although it has a lot of FOMO behind it, is a revolutionary proposal for human interaction. Lens Protocol is already working on this revolution. Now, imagine how it could be enhanced with the use of the metaverse, and not only that but on mobile devices! The possibilities are endless. Remember that AAVE already has a Metaverse and a collection of **NFTs**, the "Aavegotchi", so it will be interesting to see how they integrate them with the new platform. For my part, I am always aware of the latest news from AAVE and its movements. I fully trust the vision of the team, and it's crazy to me to see how fast they are moving forward!
