Had an [article go viral the other day.](https://www.coindesk.com/layer2/2022/09/22/the-merge-doesnt-solve-ethereums-atomic-composability/)

Well, viral, within my little corner of the world.

Still, it was fun to see it happen.

More importantly, however, was the topic…the power of Atomic Composability.

The idea that any piece of software can interact, permissionlessly, with any other piece of software on a decentralized ledger….well, that’s really powerful.

So many of today’s Layer 1 blockchains focus on the issue of scalability, but they are making a big trade-off when it comes to the composability because almost every scaling solution out there breaks composability.

That’s cutting off your nose to spite your face type of stuff.

Over the long run, the exponential power of crypto comes from the composability.

The other superpowers of 1) intermediary-free two-sided marketplaces 2) tokenization 3) decentralized applications…well, they all come standard.

It’s only composability that isn’t a part of every Layer 1.

I think, believe, and hope that will be a big deal.
