A friend recommended a series of short stories by Ted Chiang in a book entitled [“Exhalation.](https://amzn.to/3SEJwf9)

They were riveting.

A mixture of sci-fi, history, philosophy, and just a lot of knowledge, they played with my mind in a way that I have experienced in a while reading fiction.
