# Here to Stay

I know there are people who spend their lives reading technical charts, looking for clues in them the way that astrologers “read” the stars. I’m not one of them, but I am allowed to look at them (both charts and the stars). I was looking at the BTC chart the other day and thinking that, in the last 2 years, it hasn’t fallen below $30k. What does that mean? No idea, and, of course, I like confirmation bias, but the way I interpret it is that, whether we know it or not and whether we like it or not, BTC is here to stay. Yes, it’s still a “risk on” asset, but the way I think about it, it’s not about the all-time high anymore, it’s about “what’s the low?” And the low, for the past 2 years-arguably some of the most tumultuous in modern economic history- has been $30k. We’ll see what happens in a high interest rate environment, but either way, it’s here to stay. And now that regulatory clarity is on the horizon, the next chapter of the story is getting written.
