# Mission and Role Clarity

One area where I am working on self-improvement is in providing clarity of mission and clarity of role to the members of the team.

If I’m being honest, it’s not something that comes naturally to me.

Usually, the vision is very clear, as are _some_ of the steps to achieving it.

But, I don’t always enjoy getting into the fine details. I know, it’s a weakness and, since my word of the decade is “patience,” it’s something on which I am focused.

I am realizing that the most important things in life simply take time.

Good health. It’s a habit.

A good marriage. It’s a long-term thing.

A successful Layer 1 smart contract platform that forms the financial infrastructure for the next era of human evolution. Won’t happen overnight.

To achieve these things, it’s pretty critical to outline what the mission is and what success looks like.

Then, it’s important to be abundantly clear about what each person needs to do in order to help make the mission is a success.

This takes time and….patience.
