# Rhythm and Non

I need to think about it more (which probably means “ask ChatGPT”), but I’m curious about the technical difference between the concepts of “Rhythm” and “Harmony.”

I like rhythm.

I feel good when there’s a set order of things, like a program, and I “know” what I’m supposed to do next. This is my morning routine, for example. It makes me feel accomplished.

But, then there’s harmony.

There are times, like when traveling for example, when the home rhythm is not possible because, if I tried to somehow force it into my travel schedule, I would not be in rhythm with the larger experience.

Which would be (and is) disharmonious.

So, I suppose, for me at least, the challenge (and the opportunity) is to raise the awareness of the harmonic opportunity with the place, the season of life, the moment in time…and then to create and build a rhythm of activities that synchronizes with this.

I’m not a student of music (yet), but it feels like:

\-Identify the harmonic opportunities

\-Create a complementary rhythm

Ok, now off to check this against ChatGPT and see if I’m either in harmony, rhythm, both, or neither with what it actually is about.
