# Romantic Attachments

It’s the law of nature that things change.

We may not want them to.

We may feel a deep longing for the way things were, once upon a time, whether real or imagined.

We may deeply hope and crave for a return to that state of being.

And, it may happen.

But, it also may not…at least not for a long time, longer than we’ll be around.

Our lenses are narrowly focused on the here and now, but when we zoom out, we recognize that we are simply blips in a much, much longer pattern of growth, maturation, and decline.

Denying this pattern, at every level of existence, is denying life itself.

Prepare accordingly.
