Lao Tzu writes: “The soft overcomes the hard.”

This came to mind after my friend [Arthur Jones](https://www.linkedin.com/in/artjones1?miniProfileUrn=urn%3Ali%3Afs_miniProfile%3AACoAAAAku5UB7zrMwffrORqQl9EgL13kMHdBpdU&lipi=urn%3Ali%3Apage%3Ad_flagship3_profile_view_base%3BRUW23yMMQ2KovYo999YhJg%3D%3D) sent me a link [to this blog post](https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6991266584983986176/).

It’s something I’ve come to appreciate, how the things that really matter as you grow in your career are the things that are almost invisible.

How things work isn’t about process documents and to-do lists. It’s about the invisible threads that bind (or don’t bind) people to each other.

The money quote:

> "Culture is how an employee feels on Sunday night about going to work on Monday morning."
