There’s a rumble. A wave of energy passes through. A project-a series of whats and hows- are done. A new project hasn’t started yet. So there’s a gap, a space, where the brain can’t be satisfied with “being busy” with something that is tangible and can be solved. Instead, there’s that ache, a tug, a yearning…”why are we here?” “Why are we doing this?” “Why is this important?” The natural, understandable desire is to run from it. To get distracted by a book, a mindless scroll, the latest celebrity rant, a movie. The challenge, the incredibly intimidating challenge is to sit with it for as long as possible. And then sit with it for longer. I don’t know the answer to “why?” Maybe there isn’t one. Maybe that’s why? ## Publication Information - [jer979](https://paragraph.com/@jer979-2/): Publication homepage - [All Posts](https://paragraph.com/@jer979-2/): More posts from this publication - [RSS Feed](https://api.paragraph.com/blogs/rss/@jer979-2): Subscribe to updates - [Twitter](https://twitter.com/jer979): Follow on Twitter
