ZetaChain is a revolutionary blockchain platform that utilizes the Proof of Stake consensus mechanism and is built on the Cosmos SDK. It is connected to a variety of other blockchains including Ethereum, BSC, Solana, Avalanche, Terra, and Bitcoin, as well as level 2 platforms such as Optimism and Arbitrum. This allows for seamless cross-chain and cross-level communication and transactions. One of the key features of ZetaChain is its ability to support the development of multi-purpose dApps, or odApps, that can effectively use liquidity across multiple networks and read and update states in all connected networks. This is made possible through the integration of smart contracts compatible with EVM, making it easy for developers to configure their existing Ethereum dApps to work on all connected networks. Additionally, ZetaChain integrates decentralized bridges with all connected circuits, allowing for easy transfer of assets and data. Another benefit of ZetaChain is its programmable public computer that directly reads and updates the state in all connected networks. This allows for the creation of omnichain smart contracts that can be deployed as easily as developing dApps for a single network. ZetaChain also uses Tendermint for consistency and a Threshold Signature Scheme for key generation and signing in a distributed manner, making it architecturally and infrastructurally decentralized. ZetaChain also has its own token, called ZETA, which is used to pay gas fees in the ZetaChain smart contract and to protect the POS blockchain through bonding, staking, and slashing. It also underpins cross-chain translation, messaging, and delivery. ZETA is initially issued in various blockchains and levels and can be directly moved from one blockchain to another. It is also used as the monetary cross-chain, reducing the attack surface and increasing security. All incoming/outgoing transactions and decisions made on ZetaChain are recorded in blocks and are accessible, immutable, verifiable, and transparent. Overall, ZetaChain is the world's first and only blockchain that connects everything, making cross-chain communication and transactions easier and more efficient than ever before.
