# Buy ETH on Coinbase

We recommend Coinbase (no affiliation), but you can use any centralized exchange.

Step 1. Sign in to Coinbase

*   Go to [Coinbase](https://www.coinbase.com).
    
*   Click on the Buy/Sell button.
    
*   Click on “Buy” again and change the asset from Bitcoin to ETH.

*   If you haven’t already done so, add a payment method (ex. your checking account) by clicking on “Pay with”.
    
*   Enter the amount of money you would like to spend.
    
*   Click on Preview Buy.
    
*   Review your order. Note the Coinbase fee and make sure you’re comfortable with this (the larger your transaction amount, the lower the fee percent is).
    
*   Click on “Buy now”.
