# How to set up a Ledger crypto hardware wallet

Looking to set up a Ledger crypto hardware wallet? These instructions should get you up and running quickly.

Step 1. Unbox your Ledger wallet
--------------------------------

Step 2. On your computer
------------------------

*   Go to: [ledger.com/start](http://ledger.com/start) and download the Ledger Live app.
    
*   Open the Ledger Live app and follow the prompts on your computer.
    

Step 3. On your Ledger
----------------------

*   Turn on your Ledger and connect it to your computer.
    
*   Once connected, follow the prompts on your Ledger.
    
*   Success means you’ve created your PIN and established your recovery phrase.
    

Step 4. Back in Ledger Live (on your computer)
----------------------------------------------

*   Confirm that you were successful.
    
*   Then complete the quiz in Ledger Live.
    

Step 5. On your Ledger
----------------------

*   Complete the “Genuine” check and allow Ledger Manager to access your Ledger.
