Princess Diana, born Diana Frances Spencer, was a member of the British royal family and the first wife of Prince Charles, the heir to the British throne. She was born on July 1, 1961, in Sandringham, England, and died on August 31, 1997, in Paris, France.

Diana grew up in a noble family and had a privileged upbringing. She married Prince Charles in 1981 in a lavish ceremony that was watched by millions around the world. The couple had two children together, Prince William and Prince Harry.

Despite the fairytale image that was projected of their marriage, Diana and Charles had a tumultuous relationship, which eventually led to their divorce in 1996. Following the divorce, Diana became known for her philanthropic work and her efforts to raise awareness about a number of issues, including HIV/AIDS, homelessness, and landmines.

Diana was a beloved public figure, known for her warmth, compassion, and charm. Her style and fashion choices were widely admired, and she was often referred to as the "People's Princess" due to her popularity and her dedication to charitable causes.

Tragically, Diana died in a car accident in Paris in 1997, along with her companion Dodi Fayed and their driver, Henri Paul. Her death shocked the world, and she was mourned by millions around the globe.

Today, Diana's legacy lives on through the work of the many organizations and charities that she supported during her lifetime, as well as through the memories of those who knew and loved her.
