> According to the WSJ, the US Department of Justice is conducting a criminal investigation against Tether, checking whether the USDT stablecoin could have been used to finance illegal transactions. 

Manhattan prosecutors are interested in whether the USDT was involved in supporting terrorist groups and arms dealers. 

Tether denied the publication, stressing that the WSJ does not provide confirmed sources and ignores their cooperation with law enforcement.
