Lend me your ears. Recently, there has been a disturbance in what many of you will undoubtedly know as “the space-time continuum”. Although a regular occurrence of which most of you are usually blissfully unaware. But this time YOU have been sucked into the vacuum of potential possibility - a singularity, forming like the primordial lights that stirred the formative soup of the Universe way back when. This document will inform the reader what happened, what it means, and how it affects you. ##### A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away… In early august 2022, a project masterminded by a crew of notorious punks and degens appeared. It took the NFT community by storm. This project is 8liens. At a time of unprecedented capitalization in the NFT market. In a world awash with unfulfilled roadmaps and superfluous IP. 8liens dared to be different. They were bringing a punk ethos, a CC0-centered community, and the powers of authentic alien devs. Who definitely CAN do something. 10,001 NFTs were released & there was immediate interest in the project with a substantial amount of volume (that continues to move through the market), further strengthened by 0% secondary trading fees. With a bespoke dex, the ability to swap traits and other unannounced features in a project with no roadmap that focuses on community values, I consider the 8liens community one of the best Ethereum collections that can harmonize the memetic force of PEPE and the artists of the Counterparty XCP community. I also believe that other noble frogs are yet to realize their inner PEPE. And due to this, our Amphibian overlords manifested PEP8LIENS. Regardless, the smear-ravaged battle-hero and standard bearer has grown tired of his old form and has spawned himself into a plethora of memes to represent many different agendas. After all, PEPE is the ultimate troll who works in mysterious ways. From IP endorsement to Corporate collusion, PEPE is seemingly shilled everywhere. We are all PEPE, but some people have more distinct Pepe-like qualities. So it is up to us which PEPES we hold dear, and one of the aims of PEP8LIENS project is to introduce the dankest artists in the dimension to the growing NFT community. The story it represents is undoubtedly a pinnacle of modern-day proof of the power of hyper-memetics. As passionate artists of the XCP community, it was decided (by the real aliens and passed down by the PEP8LIEN founders) that a new PEPE would rise. A RARE PEPE that would enshrine in blockchain history the beginning of a friendship between XCP PEPEs and ETH 8LIENS that would serve as a foothold for the establishment of a community that was meme first in values while creating an educational space to share and uphold the core values of frogs and aliens alike. The RAREALIEN was just this. An exclusive three-card creation. One card went to the current holder of the PEPE GRAIL to help solidify its power. The second, embracing our plan to experiment with cutting-edge technology, was fractionalized into ten thousand pieces to reward those who want to participate in the PEP8LIEN adventure. The Origin RAREPEPE Gallery collected the RAREALIEN card. To be picked up so early, so magically by the gallery, is unprecedented. You can visit the gallery now and find it here: Now that the museum holds this card, only two remain. With two cards remaining, a curious situation emerged. One of the cards, which is fractionalized, needs, by definition, to stay (or start?) in the vault that it is fractioned (while still possible). So putting Humpty Dumpty together again will NOT be easy.. (For reasons that may become clear later, if you are paying attention anon). This effectively leaves only ONE tradable card in existence, which is, at the time of this writing, is held by one of our frogtenders. Ultimately nobody knows what this means going forward...probably nothing. Initially, we intended to airdrop a fraction RAREALIENS (to every 8liens holder as a simple gesture of goodwill and thanks to the community. To celebrate a competition was launched. To win a fraction with the 8lien community, 8liens were encouraged to support the drop by interacting with the post. 67 Frogtenders received the WL access, although many failed at various hurdles, like sending BTC addresses. And although it was not explicitly stated, we didn't accept ENS domains. Upon time for distribution, various factors became clear for THE PEPTAVERATE. (The benevolent anon founders of frogclub and thus PEP8LIENS).Dropping 3500 NFT’s on ETH was in fact, what humans would call, “quite expensive”. Although there had been somewhat of a commitment to deliver the gift we so wanted to share. As part of PEPE8LIENS plan to spawn their virus in transdimensional space, an ai-derribitive had been created and deployed on The Optimistic Ethereum Network. aiLI8NS as it was called was a bespoke 15 item collection that sold out nearly instantly. It was decided that another airdrop would be created. To further include those people who have taken the time to share their energy with us, the project and their fellow PEP8LIENS. These frogs received another token to celebrate their arrival to the RAR8LIEN family.
