# Montagne d'Ambre National Park

**Montagne d'Ambre National Park** is a [national park](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_park) in the [Diana Region](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diana_Region) of northern [Madagascar](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madagascar). The park is known for its [endemic](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endemism) flora and fauna, water falls and crater lakes. It is 1,000 km (620 mi) north of the capital, [Antananarivo](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antananarivo) and is one of the most biologically diverse places in all of Madagascar with seventy-five species of [birds](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bird), twenty-five species of [mammals](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mammal), and fifty-nine species of [reptiles](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reptiles) known to inhabit the park.
