# Week-8 EIF

The fastest 8 weeks I have experienced were at the Ethereum India Fellowship.

From receiving unbelievable acceptance mail to finally submitting the project the journey was unbelievable.

*   I had started the journey with SpeedRun Ethereum and completed all challenges in 4 weeks.
    
*   Heres my speedRun Profile :

*   The build phase started with selecting a project to build with, I selected Lacheio, a No Loss Defi project in which the users will stake ETH .
    
*   The interest generated from the StakedEth will be further divided into two parts,20% of it will go to the treasury and 80% will go into the prize distribution in form of a lottery.
    
*   The winners are selected at random but the prize that those winners will be receiving will be selected through an equation that includes two main parameters:
    
    *   The number of data the Eth Tokens are staked.
        
    *   The number of tokens staked for the duration.
        
*   The winning amount will be transferred in form of Aeth(AaveEth) tokens which are interest-bearing tokens.
    
*   Users can decide to hold these tokens or withdraw Eth from these tokens through Aave.
    
*   This week I integrated all parts of the project and connect the smart contract with the front end and worked on the major operations of the project like selecting winners,fetching the current user’s data, and state changes on events like withdrawal and deposit.

*   While depositing the first time, users can also set a goal amount to make financial goals.
    
*   when a user comes to withdraw we first check, if the goal is achieved then the user will be permitted to withdraw or else he has to fulfill the financial commitment to withdraw.

*   The above was a brief intro to my project, will push some more updates soon.
    
*   I have a wild thought to continue the blog series after the fellowship as I thing it’s a good way to be accountable to oneself.
    
*   On a closing note , I would like to thank god for giving me this opportunity, Denver for taking my interview and selecting me for the fellowship, my family who supported me in the meantime , shobhit(my mentor for the fellowship) for his guidance.
