# introducing: freecasters

*lessons learned by making a living using farcaster as the substrate of that*

(this system has been vibe coded in two hours of work. consider it as "content", not as something completely serious and an app that is too formal. lets lower the stakes and through that allow for earlier experimentation in public, which is what we all would benefit from, imho)

two (???) years ago i decided to make the conscious decision to focus my energy on farcaster to create stuff on the internet. it seemed fun. it seemed that the people in there were cool. curious. engaging... fun

**_doing stuff in the world_**

that has evolved to the point where im at. the mission is to have one client every month. and to have a clear and precise mission to accomplish

**_a direction to build_**

this has been incredibly freeing. i am in command of my own time. and my capacity for doing creative shit is at the core spinal chord of my relationship to life

i breathe the apps i build. 24/7. i meditate them. i chew them. im playing with my 3 month old daughter ema and i organize the lego blocks thinking in terms of your app. subconsciously thinking through how to dissolve the friction. how to propose something _fundamentally new_

and i want to keep a track record of that. i want there to be a leaderboard for people to become experts at doing what they said they would do

THAT'S ALL WHAT WE REALLY NEED TO CREATE THE WORLD OF THE FUTURE

be present and aware of what you are doing, as you do the thing

and get better and better at it through the exercise of repetition and commitment to the thing

if you are thinking of being a freelancer on farcaster, log into this system and look for work

(i mentioned "creating an app" as the creative verb and action here, but my thesis is that if you get better at what you do you can exchange "creating an app" for any concrete activity. you can abstract this system into granular levels. its composable. the periods of time, instead of one month, can be 30 minutes. it doesn't matter. the point that matters is that you focus your energy on that task for those 30 minutes. that's all)
